Rangers get an immediate impact rookie good for 40-50 points give or take next season and Canes get 3 high talent developmental prospects, one of which may or may not play in the NHL next season.
There's been a bunch of mid to late round hits lately and there's some strong talent throughout the entire 1st round.
However, it was my understanding that the Rags were trying to rebuild and restock a below average prospect pool (ranked 23rd by THW), but I bet that ranking moved up during the TDL with the addition of Lindgren. |

I'm not completely sold on shedding all of those picks for one pick. |

Yeah you guys had a great TDL. Was very impressed. McD was a huge asset, but shedding that 7.8M husk for a first was hilarious. Well done. |

I really love the idea of pairing Chytil up with Zadina
but watch, the Rangers pull this off and don't pick him 2nd |

So potentially Svechnikov or Zadina for Whalstrom Woo and Kaut or some combination similar. |

Nash can't score when it matters most, I have seen it time and time again now
He plays as hard as he can, he scoring chance after scoring chance, shot after shot, and it just doesn't go in.

I would keep the pics and stockpile young hungry talent... LV, Nashville, Winnipeg have plenty of skill good players, not superstars (excl. Laine).. |

Chytil-Zadina would be like the modern day Czech version of Nilsson-Hedberg |

It's so frustrating. I think something changed with the concussions, like he's just flinging the puck dead center on the net because he's afraid to take that extra moment to pick his spot for fear of getting destroyed. |

I'd be pretty damned surprised if Wahlstrom slipped to 9. The guy has elite scoring talent and can play C and W. I'd bet there'd be one of the 2nd tier dmen there at 9. Boq, Bouch, Hughes, Dobson.. |

I used to get texts once a week from one of my best friends on the island b1tching about how anti-clutch Nash is.
And now a few of our members are interested in signing him. Good lord. |

I doubt the Isles are planning to move up. It'll cost too much and they figure to get some pretty good players back-to-back. I could see them slapping together some sort of package with their two 2nd's and/or a 3rd to get back into the late first. And if history dictates anything, if Merkley is available in the very-late first they'll trade up and draft him. The Ho Sang Special. |
